Crispus Attucks Day Recognized by Philadelphia City Councilwoman Jannie Blackwell
Proclamation from City Councilwoman Jannie Blackwell presented to Montford Point Marine President, Phila. Chapter Reverend Lawrence Brown and Cathy Santo, Founder National Alliance of Women Veterans, in recognition of Crispus Attucks Day, March 5th is honored here at the "All Colored Soldiers Memorial" Stature at 20th an the Parkway. Crispus Attucks is the first of five men to die in the massacre was a runaway slave turned sailor, Crispus Attucks. His death has forever linked his name with the cause of freedom.
